I am on the board of Stone Ridge HOA for Warner Springs Estates. During the last SDG&E power outage due to high winds in the Warner Springs area, I called Assemblyman DeMaio's office for assistance. We are a senior community with 300 homes on a master meter. Without hesitation, SDG&E was contacted. With continuous monitoring and communication from Trinity and everyone involved at Assemblyman DeMaio's office, in less than 24 hours, our community received a generator and a crew to install and oversee the operation. Once the winds picked up and power was shut down, our seniors had power and there was no need to relocate them. SDG&E's work was outstanding and was very responsive to Assemblyman DeMaio's office. We are thankful to have our Assemblyman's support in the district.

I can’t thank Carl DeMaio enough! I welcomed my beautiful baby girl in December and filed for Paid Family Leave immediately as I have done before with my first child. I was starting to feel the financial pressure with 2 kids and over 2 months went by without my claim getting paid out. Mr. Payton Galvez was instrumental in facilitating the successful submission and distribution of my CA SDI benefits. Even though I had applied for benefits in April 4, 2025, I still had not received my rightful funds by mid-July; therefore, I reached out to Mr. DeMaio’s office. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant at first—as I’m a democrat, albeit moderate—however, I believe in bipartisanship so I proceeded nonetheless and I am so glad I did. Mr. Galvez greeted me with nothing but kindness and a keen willingness to help. Anyway, my funds were deposited a mere few days after reaching out to Mr. Galvez. THAT is how efficient the man is! Working with Carl DeMaio's office was positive, productive, and exactly what reaching out to a representative should provide. The impact of having a real advocate in office brings quality of life where there was only frustration and despair. My struggles to terminate Health Net and Covered CA prior to starting Medicare were met with bureaucratic red tape. I finally gave up and reached out to Carl DeMaio's office because Health Net continued to bill me and refused to acknowledge my phone calls (as well as handwritten notice on bills) the month prior to starting Medicare. Payton Galvez, of Carl DeMaio's office, patiently provided the voice of reason to Covered CA. I now can focus on my work, rather than fighting a system that only complicates life for hard-working tax-paying citizens. Thanks to Carl DeMaio's office (and Payton in particular). Keep up the great advocacy and voice of reason!

I reached out to Carl DeMaios office in regards to a claim for FMLA. My husband had hip surgery and I had to take off work to care for him. The problem was the claim sat in limbo I wasn't receiving a payment. It had been a month already and I was worried it was not going thru. I tried to call but the number was so tied up I couldn’t get thru I tried different times in the day and still the same message I went to the SDI office. They told me that it is very common, my claim was approved, but the office is so under staffed they cannot keep up with the claims. It was suggested I reach out to our Assemblymember. So I did just that, I emailed his office and the next day I received a response from Payton. He was very nice and understanding of my situation. He then reached out to the dept. in Sacramento and promptly got back to me with information to help move the case along to receive payment. It took a few weeks but with his help I finally received payment about a month later. I had lots of questions and concern. Payton assured me he would do everything possible to help me. He did just that I would like to thank Payton for all the help he provided. I don’t know what I would have done without his help! There is no way to get ahold of anyone at that office. It was very frustrating! Thank you Payton! I appreciate your help and understanding!

I was having trouble filing a claim with EDD online and couldn't reach anyone by phone for help in their department. I contacted Carl DeMaio's office for assistance and within a couple hours got a response and the help contacting EDD to begin the process of submitting my claim.
