SACRAMENTO – Yesterday Assemblymember Marie Waldron, R-Escondido, honored Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce CEO Lila MacDonald as the 2021 Woman of the Year for the 75th Assembly District.
“Lila MacDonald lives and breathes the Fallbrook community,” said Waldron. “From Honorary Mayor to CEO of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, Lila MacDonald embodies the spirit of Fallbrook.”
For decades, MacDonald has been active in the community. Her service includes local PTA boards, the Fallbrook Food Pantry, the Youth Baseball League, local committees like County Revitalization, Public Safety and the Children’s Public Health/ Safety Committee, to name just a few. Serving as Chamber CEO since 2014, she values and nurtures relationships with local and state representatives, community organizations and local businesses. Along with her outstanding staff, she works daily to build a better community through educational seminars, networking events, community/cultural events including the Avocado Festival and Artisan Faire.
Lila MacDonald grew up in Fallbrook and graduated from Fallbrook High School. Her public involvement dates to her youth, when she won the title of Miss Friendly Village in 1988, a result of her deep involvement in her school and the community. With four children and one grandson, Lila MacDonald has dedicated her life to making Fallbrook a better community for all.
